Regular City Council Meeting Minutes 

City of Porter 

March 3, 2025 6:30 p.m. 

 

The meeting was called to order by Mayor, Donald Verschelde 

 

Council members present were Kim Jelen, Donald Verschelde, Josh Sumption, and Craig Peterson.   

 

Mayor Donald Verschelde called for the reading of the minutes of the February 3, 2025, Regular City Council meeting and the 2025 Fire Contract Meeting.  Minutes were approved as read in a motion by Josh Sumption, seconded by Craig Peterson. All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried. 

 

Also present was Ken Hennen. 

 

The Local Board of Appeal & Equalization Meeting will be held on April 22, 2025 from 6:00-6:30 pm at the Porter City Hall. 

 

Josh Sumption gave an update on the status/options of applying for a tanker grant. 

 

A motion was made by Craig Peterson, seconded by Josh Sumption, to pay the bills as read.  All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
