Special City Council Meeting Minutes 

City of Porter 

March 10, 2021 6:30 p.m. 

 

Meeting called to order by Mayor, Donald Verschelde  

 

Council members present were Kim Jelen, Donald Verschelde, Josh Sumption, and Pat Vlaminck.   

 

Resolution 03.10.2021 

A resolution of the city council of the City of Porter authorizing and providing for the incurrence of indebtedness in the principal amount of $23,500.00 for the purpose providing a portion of the cost of acquiring and constructing a Fire Equipment – SCBA’s, providing for the collection, handling, and disposition of revenues therefrom, and authorizing makings of promissory notes, security instruments, and pledges of revenue to evidence and secure the payment of said indebtedness and for related purposes. (SEE LOAN RESOLUTION SECURITY AGREEMENT) 

A motion was made by Josh Sumption, seconded by Pat Vlaminck, to approve Resolution 03.10.2021.  Vote: 4 yes; 0 no; 1 absent.  All were in favor with none opposed, and the resolution was passed. 

A discussion was held that Judy will reach out to Town & Country regarding them using the City Council room for the Porter Sale. 

A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Josh Sumption, to adjourn the meeting.  All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
