Tear it down. I was at a family reunion in Stockholm SD about 5 years ago. They had it at their community hall. It was brand new, clean and did not smell of mold and mildew. Build it and you will be surprised to see how often it will be used compared to the current structure.

I think that the hall should be tore down and rebuilt. Make it an easier building for EVERYONE to use. There is only so much that can be done to the old building before it would be easier to start over again anyway.

Tear it down. It might cost a bit more to start from scratch, but it would be worth it. The entire building could be bigger, and would accommodate a much bigger crowd. I am sure more people would use it for weddings, family reunions and dances. Right now there really isn't a lot of room on the dance floor for big events. It would be well worth the investment to tear down the hall and start from scratch.

Tear the old hall down. It is time for Porter to have a community facility that people in the community would like to use and is
accessible for everyone. The old hall needs a new kitchen, bathroom, roof and sometimes the floor is pretty scary with a bunch of people on it. Why not have something in town that is big enough to actually have a wedding dance in and appealing enough to do so as well?
