The Porter History Library

The Northwestern (Winona and St. Peter) Railroad stopped to deliver the rural mail at a tree among the prairie, the Lone Tree. This site soon became known as Lone Tree Station.

Thus started the History of the Porter Community. Compiling our history is a very lengthy process, and requires much research. Take a look through this interactive library, and visit back often, though our History does not change, the amount of it on this site will become greater.
