Special Announcements
- Jeremy Stoks Benefit -- A benefit brat feed will be put on by the Porter Fire
Department with proceeds matched by Thrivent Financial
(formerly AAL and Lutheran Brotherhood)
and going to benefit Jeremy Stoks.
Stoks was severely burned in a June explosion at SMI and
Hydraulics, Inc. of Porter. This event will take place on
Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm. at the Porter Park. Other
fundraising events are also planned to take place during the
festival weekend.
- The Softball Tournament will be held on Saturday and
Sunday. Teams should register with Brad Noyes at (507)
296-4477 before August 15. Registration fees must be paid
before your team can play. Cash prizes will be paid out when
final games are complete.
- The Porter development fundraiser will not be grilling
hamburgers as shown on previous advertisements. Instead they
will be serving bar-be-qued pork, along with their fresh
sweet corn and other side dishes.
