Regular City Council Meeting Minutes

City of Porter

December 5, 2011, 6:30 p.m.

Mayor Donald Verschelde called the regular city council meeting to order.

Council members present were Kim Jelen, Judy Verschelde, Donald Verschelde, Josh Sumption, Darlene Moeller, and Pat Vlaminck. 

Also present was Kyle Kack, Jared Dritz & Dan Dybsetter.

Mayor Donald Verschelde called for the reading of the minutes of the November 7, 2011 Regular City Council meeting.  Minutes were approved as read in a motion by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Josh Sumption. All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.

Kyle Kack will do snow removal for the City of Porter.

Resolution 9-2011

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Porter, in the County of Yellow Medicine and the state of Minnesota that the following sums of money are to be levied for the current year collectible in 2012 upon taxable property within the City:

Final Levy        $43,649.69

Final Budget    $109,672.19

A motion was made by Darlene Moeller, seconded by Josh Sumption, to approve Resolution 09-2011.  All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.

A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck & seconded by Darlene Moeller for an Easement & Drainage Agreement adding the NE ¼ of section 28 and the NW ¼ of section 33.  All were in favor with no one opposed.  The motion was carried.

585,000 gallons of water were used.

Pat Vlaminck made a motion to pay the bills as read.  Josh Sumption seconded the motion.  All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.

A motion was made by Josh Sumption, seconded by Darlene Moeller, to adjourn the meeting.  All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
