Special City Council Meeting Minutes
City of
Porter
Monday, May 23, 2011, 6:30 p.m.
Mayor Donald Verschelde called the special city council meeting to order.
Council members present were Eric Dybsetter, Darlene Moeller, Donald
Verschelde, and Pat Vlaminck.
Also present was John Meyer, Jacob Tetrick, and Josh Sumption.
Resolution 03 - 2011
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Porter, in the County of
Yellow Medicine and the state of Minnesota that a Tax Increment Financing
Plan related to feed mill construction at the Porter Elevator, Inc. be
adopted.
A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Darlene Moeller, to approve
Resolution 03-2011. All were in
favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Darlene Moeller to approve a
pay as you go plan for the tax increment financing plan.
All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
Three requests for building permits were submitted to the council.
Jim Melrose applied for a permit to add a bump out window on the
north side of his home. Art
Berghorst applied for a permit to add a larger deck on the east side of his
home. The Porter Elevator, Inc.
applied for a permit to construct a new feed mill.
A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Darlene Moeller to approve
all three building permits. All
were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
A motion was made by Darlene Moeller, seconded by Pat Vlaminck, to adjourn
the meeting. All were in favor
with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
