Development Grant Application Hearing

Mayor
Donald Verschelde called the special city council meeting to order.
The purpose of the meeting was to hold a public hearing
Council
members present were Eric Dybsetter, Donald Verschelde, and Pat Vlaminck.
Also
present was Norm VanOverbeke with Development Services, Inc.
Norm
VanOverbeke presented a summary of the rural development grant that DSI is
applying for on behalf of Porter and Canby.
Porter is applying for $180,000 in grants on 3 owner occupied housing
units and 3 commercial buildings.
Canby is applying for $552,000 in grants on 18 owner occupied housing
units and 12 commercial buildings.
Resolution 07-2009
BE IT
RESOLVED that the Porter
City
Council accepts Addendum 4 – Cooperative Agreement (see attached).
A motion
was made by Pat Vlaminck to approve Resolution 07-2009.
Eric Dybsetter seconded the motion.
All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
Resolution 08-2009
BE IT
RESOLVED that the Porter City Council accepts Addendum 2B – Local Government
Application Resolution - Porter (see attached).
A motion
was made by Pat Vlaminck to approve Resolution 08-2009.
Eric Dybsetter seconded the motion.
All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
