Contract Meeting Minutes
City of
Porter
Tuesday,
February 3, 2009,
7:00 p.m.
Mayor
Donald Verschelde called the 2009 fire contract meeting to order.
Council
members present were Kim Jelen, Donald Verschelde, and Pat Vlaminck.
Also
present were Ralph Jelen of
Wergeland
Township, Faith Olsen and
John Cornell of Marble
Township, and Robert
Thielges and Curt Hoseck of
Norman
Township.
Fire
contract rates for 2009 were discussed.
The City of Porter
has raised the cost per section to $125, up from $120 in 2008.
A new
fire truck for the Porter Fire Department was discussed.
An update meeting for the townships will be held when the City of
Porter
and the Porter Fire Department have more information.
A motion
was made to adjourn the meeting.
All were in favor with none opposed, and the motion was carried.
