Minutes of the City of Porter
Regular Council Meeting
Monday, May 5, 2008
6:30 p.m.
Mayor Donald Verschelde called the regular city council
meeting to order.
Those present were Darlene Moeller, Kim Jelen, Pat
Vlaminck, Don Verschelde, Bonnie Olson and Judy Verschelde.
Also present were Larry Stoks.
A motion was made by Kim Jelen, seconded by Pat
Vlaminck to approve the minutes of the April 7, 2008 City Council meeting.
All in favor, no one opposed.
A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Kim
Jelen to approve the minutes of the Board of Appeals and Equalization
meeting on April 7, 2008. All in favor no one opposed.
A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Darlene
Moeller to hire Dave Parsons as the City of Porter assessor. All in favor,
no one opposed.
RESOLUTION 01-2008
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Porter
approves an off-site charitable gambling permit for June 7, 2008. A motion
approving the resolution was made by Kim Jelen, and seconded by Darlene
Moeller. All voted in favor, no one opposed. This resolution was adopted by
the City Council on May 5, 2008.
Larry Stoks gave the water report. There were 839,000
gallons used. An influent sample was sent in. Everything checked out good.
A motion was made by Darlene Moeller, seconded by Kim
Jelen to pay the bills as read. All in favor, no one opposed.
A motion was made by Kim Jelen, seconded by Pat
Vlaminck to adjourn the meeting. All in favor, no one opposed.
