meeting to order.

mowing.
Jacob Tetrick was present to inquire about the city
mowing.
The bids for the city mowing were read and approved.
A discussion was held on serving food at any event. Any
group within the city of Porter that is serving food or beverages must
obtain a health permit PRIOR to the event. If the city is allowing
the event to occur, and allows non-permitted persons or groups to serve food
or beverages, the city is considered liable if a food-borne illness outbreak
occurs. By allowing only permitted persons or groups to prepare and serve
food at these celebrations it transfers the responsibility from the city to
the vendor. Permit applications can be obtained from Don Verschelde.
Mary Wente was present to inquire about city property.
A motion was made by Kim Jelen, seconded by Pat
Vlaminck to approve a building permit to Mary Wente for a 16 x 9 smoking
room.

gallons used. A bacteria water sample was taken, it came back good.
A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Kim
Jelen to pay the bills as read. All in favor, no one opposed.
