of the City of Porter
Regular Council Meeting
Monday, October 1, 2007
6:30 p.m.
Mayor Donald Verschelde called the regular city council
meeting to order.
Those present were Don Verschelde, Bonnie Olson, Pat
Vlaminck, Kim Jelen and Judy Verschelde.
Also present was Larry Stoks.
Mayor Donald Verschelde called for the reading of the
September 4, 2007 City Council meeting. Minutes were approved in a motion
made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Kim Jelen. All in favor, no one opposed.
A motion was made by Kim Jelen, seconded by Pat Vlaminck
to approve the minutes from the special council meeting on September 24,
2007. All in favor, no one opposed.
The new rent amount for the community hall will be $200
for the use of the entire hall, and $100 for the use of the new north
addition. This new fee will be effective on November 1, 2007.
The water at the city park will be shut off.
A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Kim Jelen
to approve a dance permit for Jason Sik’s wedding dance on October 20, 2007.
All in favor, no one opposed.
The beavers that are near the creek line will be trapped
by Jay Opdahl.
There were 508,000 gallons water used.
A motion was made by Kim Jelen, seconded by Pat Vlaminck
to approve the bills as read. All in favor, no one opposed.
A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Kim Jelen
to adjourn the meeting. All in favor, no one opposed.
