of the City of Porter
Regular Council Meeting
Tuesday, September 04, 2007
6:30 p.m.
Mayor Donald Verschelde called the regular city council
meeting to order.
Those present were Darlene Moeller, Don Verschelde, Bonnie
Olson, Pat Vlaminck and Judy Verschelde.
Also present were Norm VanOverbeke from DSI, Dan Dybsetter
and Jim Stoks.
Mayor Donald Verschelde called for the reading of the
August 6, 2007 City Council meeting. Minutes were approved in a motion made
by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Darlene Moeller. All in favor, no one opposed.
Norm VanOverbeke from DSI was present to wrap up the
grant.
A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Darlene
Moeller to approve a building permit to Petersen Trucking, to build an 80 X
80, 18’ sidewalls, steel building at his property. All in favor, no one
opposed.
Dan Dybsetter was present to talk about the fireman’s
retirement fund. A motion was made by Darlene Moeller, seconded by Bonnie
Olson, to fund the fireman’s retirement relief fund for $5000 for the year
2007. All in favor, no one opposed.
A motion was made by Darlene Moeller, seconded by Pat
Vlaminck to approve a building permit to Jim Stoks to build a 9 X 24 deck on
the west side of his property. All in favor, no one opposed.
The City of Porter will be purchasing the Co-op Oil
property south of the fire hall.
A motion was made by Darlene Moeller, seconded by Pat
Vlaminck to approve a dance permit to Bob Noyes for September 29. All in
favor, no one opposed.
Resolution 01-2007
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Porter,
Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, that the following sums of money by
levied for the current year collectible in 2008 upon taxable property in the
City of Porter, Minnesota.
Proposed Levy: $37,422.58
Pat Vlaminck made a motion to adopt the resolution.
Darlene Moeller seconded it. Adopted by the City Council on September 4,
2007.
There was 387,000 gallons water used.
A motion was made by Darlene Moeller, seconded by Pat
Vlaminck to approve the bills as read. All in favor, no one opposed.
A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Darlene
Moeller to adjourn the meeting. All in favor, no one opposed.
