Minutes of the City of Porter
Regular Council Meeting
Monday, January 2, 2006
6:30 p.m.
Mayor Donald Verschelde called the regular city council meeting to order.
Those present were Bonnie Olson, Kim Jelen, Donald Verschelde, Pat Vlaminck,
Judy Verschelde and Darlene Moeller. Also present were Larry Stoks and Tom
Noyes.
Mayor Donald Verschelde called for the reading of the minutes of the
December 5, 2005 City Council meeting. Minutes were approved as read in a
motion by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Kim Jelen. All in favor no one
opposed.
Tom Noyes inquired about property in the JOBZ zone.
A motion was made by Kim Jelen, seconded by Darlene Moeller to adopt the
following resolutions.

RESOLUTION: Chapter 32 32.10 1-2-06
County All-Hazard Mitigation Plan
All in favor no one opposed. Adopted by the City of Porter Council on
January 2, 2006.
A motion was made by Kim Jelen, seconded by Darlene Moeller to designate The
State Bank of Taunton & Wells Fargo as the official depositors, Canby News
as the official newspaper, Kim Jelen as the proxy for mayor, Gerald Boulton
as the attorney for the City, and Canby as the official pound. All in favor
no one opposed.
The Firemans Contract Renewal Meeting is set for Tuesday, February 7, 2006
at 7:00 pm. This meeting will be held at the Porter Fire Hall.
A motion was made by Pat Vlaminck, seconded by Kim Jelen to increase the
compensation for all fire services from $105.00 to $110.00 per section. All
in favor no one opposed.
Kim Jelen updated the council on the voting machines.
The water and sewer report was read. A bacterial sample was taken. The ponds
were discharged at the beginning of December. Bacterial samples will need to
be taken in April. There were 360,000 gallons used.
A motion was made by Darlene Moeller, seconded by Pat Vlaminck to pay the
bills as read. All in favor no one opposed.
A motion was made by Kim Jelen, seconded by Pat Vlaminck to adjourn the
meeting. All in favor no one opposed.
